About us

Our story,
written with the living.

A journey shaped by the land, encounters and convictions. We combine scientific precision, an appreciation for living things and a commitment to the local terroir.

Origins

Our history.

A story of hands-on experience, self-reflection and the convergence of two perspectives.

“My first name contains the word ‘life’: it is this energy that has always guided my steps.”

The turning point

Flavie, a winegrower and Cognac producer – part of a second generation of winegrowers and distillers – has been driven since childhood by a passion for life. Faced with the use of plant protection products, one thing became clear: a different approach was needed. Before taking over the family estate in 2015, years spent growing market garden produce shaped her understanding of the soil and the vines. Early on, she reintroduced heritage grape varieties such as Folle Blanche, with the dream of creating a unique product, crafted entirely from vine to bottle.

The meeting

By chance – or perhaps by fate – she crossed paths with Virgile, a neighbouring winegrower and her life partner. He brought a rare scientific rigour to the estate, reflecting the same quest for natural truth.

A shared vision

Their meeting brings together two complementary worlds: science and experience. Driven by a shared passion, they move forward guided by a founding principle.

‘Good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement.’

Trajectory

One method: Holohoméopathie.

A gradual process, shaped by encounters, fieldwork and a commitment to consistency.

Lessons learnt

We have drawn on the teachings of the leading experts in regenerative and energy-based agriculture: from Frederic Wenz and Dietmar Näser to John Kempf and Elaine Ingham (oxygenated compost teas), as well as Professor Marc Henry’s work on quantum water and Abdelaziz Yacoubi’s agricultural homeopathy.

The decisive match

In 2022, the encounter with homeopathy applied to living systems — driven by internationally renowned researchers — proved to be the final catalyst.

This approach translated the most cutting-edge scientific concepts into practical applications for our vineyard.

The origins of the method

From this unique encounter, Holohoméopathie was born – a method of cultivation. We registered our ‘homeo-spirits’ trademark in 2024. Today, we offer the fruits of this commitment: Cognacs, liqueurs and grape juices produced using viticultural practices that respect the microbial balance and the memory of living organisms.

“By allowing the essence of life to express itself freely at the heart of our products, we reveal an unrivalled aromatic purity, offering an exceptional sensory experience.”

Fundamentals

The framework that guides our actions.

Here, there is no set formula. It is a dynamic, precise and people-centred framework that brings together the laboratory, the family, methodology and scientific validation.

Le Labo: the demands of life

At the heart of our approach lies one certainty: nature possesses its own intelligence. In our laboratory, we do not seek to replace it, but to preserve its power.

A family-run, artisanal venture

The harvesting and production of our preparations — plants, seaweed and mushrooms — are the result of a collective effort. Here, the whole family pitches in, ensuring full traceability from harvest to finished product.

Our method: Holohoméopathie

We are shifting to a new paradigm: we no longer use any external inputs. Instead of forcing nature’s hand, we stimulate living systems to make them more resilient and self-sufficient.

If you approach a problem gently, you’ll get a gentle response.

Science and Fractality

Our vision has found scientific resonance in fractality — the measure of the self-organising power of living organisms, observable from the soil to the plant, from the fruit to the final product. This concept, presented at the International Health Congress in Prague (3–5 October 2025), guides our processes. We regard distillation not as a therapeutic act, but as a technique that guarantees exceptional organoleptic quality.

The Team

A family adventure.

Here, the whole family pitches in — and the guardians of Holon keep watch in their own way. Everyone, whether human or four-legged, keeps an eye on the balance of the place.

Spirit of the place

All living things

Insects, soil and hedgerows: the true architects of balance.

Our Manifesto

Fewer inputs, fewer intruders.

Rejection of industrial methods

We reject industrial methods which, through artificial preservation techniques or high-temperature dehydration processes, deplete the vitality of living organisms.

Nutrition versus artifice

A fertiliser high in cadmium does not nourish; it contaminates. Massive doses of synthetic nitrogen are not necessary in a well-managed natural environment.

The rule of atrophy

‘Any action that is taken over by something else will wither away.’ By providing external inputs, we weaken the plant rather than strengthening it.

Commitment

Use a little, but use it well. We prefer quality over quantity, to allow nature to fulfil its full potential.

A simple principle: supporting life, without forcing it.

Symbol

Why is there a spider in the logo?

It is the symbol of a restored microbiological balance and a healthy environment: guardian of the Temple and of Time. In the vineyards, she protects the grapes from pests; in the cellars, she acts as the sentinel of the brandies, warding off insects that might compromise the purity of the casks.

An ancient symbol of good luck and abundance, it embodies an eco-friendly way of life. With its eight legs and a body resembling the number 8 — a symbol of infinity and eternity — it reflects longevity and perfection.

“It epitomises the Homéospirits ethos: tradition, protection and renewal.”

Intention at the heart of the action.

For Virgile and myself, every step — from pruning the vines to heating the still — is a conscious act. Inspired by Holohoméopathie, we regard our estates as living organisms. Our role is to translate the natural balance of our terroirs into a pure sensory experience, free from artifice and without compromise.

“Cognac d’Auteur is an invitation to discover an emotion, an intimate conversation between the Charente region and the person savouring it.”
